Protecting your investment funds - Taking trading advice

Staff of Monex can give general advice about the financial products that we provide access to, but we will not give you personal advice under any circumstances. Please report to us immediately if anybody claiming to represent Monex is offering you personal advice.
Be extremely careful about taking trading advice or investment tips from strangers and even from friends, especially if it is a person that you have met through social media. There are many examples of so called “friends” giving people advice to invest in stocks which subsequently collapse in price, causing significant financial loss.
You can further protect your investments by ensuring that you do not place all of your eggs in one basket. Spreading your investments across multiple securities will reduce the risk of one bad investment having too much of an impact on your account. If anybody suggests that you should invest a large percentage of your funds into any single investment, you should be very suspicious.

Do not allow others to access your account
We wish to remind you that if you allow anybody else to access or trade on your account, whether they have been issued the power of attorney or not, you do so entirely at your own risk and you are solely responsible for the conduct and liabilities on your account caused directly or indirectly by anybody that has access to, or trades on, your account.
To be safe, we recommend that you do not give your login details to anybody. Do not even share your password with somebody who says they are from Monex. If you forget your password, please contact Monex directly and we will help you to reset your password. Monex will never call to ask for your login information.
